Artist's Comments

Fantasy

same day as Daydream, though this shot is in HDR...a slightly different effect and the colors have a much different feel to the picture...more of a false reality feel

How many different shots did this take? (I'm still trying to come to grips with HDR) It's stunning!

thank you :) this was 5 shots put together...anywhere from 3-5 is usually a safe bet....anymore is just overkill and any less you don't get the full effect...and just for some pointers on it...always shoot in RAW cause the color is better, always use the lowest (or very close to) ISO that you can cause HDR tends to make a lot of noise...and you can make an HDR out of a single picture if you make 3 copies of it...one underexposed, one over, one normal

In many ways, it's very easy, but in the same time is very hard...It's easy to push a button of a camera and take a snap shot of a "living" landscape and put it in a computer. But it's hard, because you also need imagination to take a picture from the right angle, catching everything that you want. It's easy to click a button and to give it a little effect. But it's hard because you need to think, what effect would make this photo make you feel like you're in a fantasy world...
A part of the sky is black, it's crying "sun, please don't go away", while the sun slowly goes away sinking into the water, while the stones say "...goodbye...".
I assure you that you did a very wonderful job. Even if you just added an effect to one picture. Some times, the easiest thing can look harder than any other. Just like some times, the smallest things can make the biggest changes.
